It’s the Weekend Wind-Up – I have another interview today, and tomorrow it’s my birthday!
If you missed the latest blog post, I spoke about my fears and sadness surrounding my granddad’s Alzheimer’s Disease, which was also featured by Freshly Pressed.
I Am Currently…
Listening to: Nickelback – When We Stand Together
Eating: Breakfast
Drinking: Nettle Tea
Reading: Working with Young People – Roger Harrison and Christine Wise / God on Your Own – Joseph Dispenza
Most Recently Watched: Have I Got News For You
Wearing: Black interview trousers & white interview shirt
Writing: This week I wrote a good 4,000 words of novel, and I cut over 15,000. I hated the characters, which seemed fake and stuffy, so I put them aside and planned half their scenes without them in.
Thinking: I really hope I get one of these two jobs (interviews yesterday and today). Preferably, today’s job.
Feeling: Tired and slightly worried about this 90 minute interview. Excited that I get to leave this age behind tomorrow, and that my partner will arrive tonight.
Wanting: I wish I could spend today tidying and writing, but I need to leave at 12 and will return at 6:30pm. Good old “one train an hour” issues.
Needing: Some time out. Ideally time to read my book, too.
Enjoying: The quiet of the house before a busy, noisy weekend.
Grateful for: My partner driving 200 miles to see me, despite only starting driving again about a month ago.
And The Weather: Hopefully it won’t get too hot!
Easy words and wide-open eyes to you, that you may show who you are and see who they are, with clarity and Wisdom.

Can you read on the train, or after you get there, before or after the interview?

Happy Birthday!!
and Happy Date-night, too
